Procedure
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and powdered sugar, beating until smooth and fluffy. Add vanilla extract and salt, then mix in the flour until a soft dough forms.
- Gather the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Dust a clean surface with flour and roll out the dough to about 1/4-inch thickness. Use cookie cutters to create shapes and transfer them to the baking sheet.
- Gently press edible flowers into the tops of the cookies and sprinkle granulated sugar over them.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden. Allow cooling on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Once cooled, serve and enjoy at tea parties or as a delightful snack.
