For the Garlic Yogurt Sauce
  • 1 cup plain yogurt Greek yogurt can be substituted.
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice Lime juice can be used as a substitute.
  • Pinch salt Adjust for personal taste.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Avocado oil is a great alternative.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well incorporated.
  2. Shape the mixture into small oval patties, approximately the size of a golf ball.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 375°F/190°C). Brush the grill grates lightly with olive oil.
  4. Place the koftas on the hot grill, leaving space between each. Grill for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the yogurt, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt for the sauce. Stir until smooth.
  6. Remove the koftas from the grill and drizzle or dollop the garlic yogurt sauce over them before serving.
