Step-by-Step Instructions

  2. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and pour the mixture into it, spreading evenly. Cover tightly with aluminum foil.
  3. Bake covered for 45 minutes in the preheated oven. Do not peek during this time.
  4. Remove foil and sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top. Bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  5. Let the casserole rest for about 5 minutes before serving to ensure easier slicing.
