  • 0.5 head cabbage fresh green cabbage, sliced
  • 3-4 cloves garlic fresh, finely chopped
  • 1 inch ginger fresh, peeled and grated
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce low-sodium preferred
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil high smoke point oil
  • 2 stalks green onions chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil for flavor, added before serving

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Finely chop 3-4 cloves of garlic and peel a 1-inch piece of ginger before grating it. Slice half a head of fresh green cabbage into thin strips.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil and heat over medium-high until it shimmers, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add 1 pound of ground beef to the hot skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned and fully cooked, stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir in the chopped garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for about 1 minute until golden and fragrant.
  5. Add the sliced cabbage to the skillet, cooking for 3-4 minutes until it wilts slightly but retains crunch.
  6. Pour in 3 tablespoons of soy sauce and mix well, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over the stir-fry and toss gently. Add chopped green onions before serving.
