  • ½ cup Orange Juice Can reduce to ¼ cup or omit if desired.
  • 1 cup Water Used to cook the cranberries.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Rinse fresh cranberries under cold water in a fine-mesh strainer, ensuring they're free from debris.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and ½ cup of orange juice. Stir in ½ cup of honey or maple syrup and bring to a gentle boil.
  3. Carefully add the cranberries to the saucepan, stir, and return to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
  4. Remove from heat and allow to cool for approximately 15 minutes.
  5. Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
  6. Stir the cooled sauce gently before serving.
