  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Cook for about 8-10 minutes until the beef is browned and the onions are translucent; drain excess fat.
  3. Grease your baking dish and layer half of the sliced potatoes on the bottom.
  4. Spread the cooked beef mixture over the potatoes and sprinkle cheese on top.
