  • 2 cups ham Diced, can substitute with bacon, sausage, or turkey
  • 1 cup cheese Shredded Swiss and cheddar mixed together
  • 6 large eggs Whisked together with milk
  • 1 cup milk Whole milk or half-and-half, dairy-free alternative is also fine
  • 1 teaspoon seasonings Salt and pepper to taste, optional garlic powder or herbs
Optional Toppings
  • 1/4 cup fresh herbs Parsley or chives for garnish
  • 1 medium sliced avocado To serve alongside the casserole

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.
  3. Cut croissants into 1-inch cubes and layer half in the baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle half of the diced ham and half of the cheese over croissants.
  5. Repeat with remaining croissants, ham, and cheese.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until combined.
  7. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered casserole.
  8. Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until set and golden brown.
  9. Cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
