Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine 1/3 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of corn starch, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and continuously whisk the mixture for 3-5 minutes until it starts to thicken.
  3. Add 2 cups of sweet cherries to the thickened mixture and stir until they are well coated. Cook for an additional 6-10 minutes for fresh cherries or 12-15 minutes for frozen.
  4. Remove from heat and let the sauce cool before transferring it to an airtight container. Store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
