Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, egg, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic, parsley, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly but gently.
- Form the mixture into medium-sized balls and place on a parchment-lined baking tray.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
- Melt butter in a saucepan and whisk in flour to form a roux. Gradually add milk while whisking until thickened.
- Stir in Parmesan, mozzarella, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until cheeses melt and the sauce is smooth.
- Transfer baked chicken bombs to a casserole dish and pour the creamy sauce over them.
- Broil the dish for 3-5 minutes until the sauce is bubbly and slightly golden.
- Serve the chicken bombs over creamy mashed potatoes or cauliflower purée, garnishing with fresh herbs and a drizzle of olive oil.
