Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather all your ingredients.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat and let it cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the sautéed ground beef with uncooked rice, French onion soup, beef consommé, and seasonings. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and transfer the mixture into it. Spread evenly and slightly pack it down.
  5. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 30-40 minutes or until the rice is tender and the top is golden brown.
  7. Let the casserole rest for about 5 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
