  • 1 cup grated carrots or substitute with sliced bell peppers
  • 3 units chopped green onions can replace with regular onions
  • 3 cloves minced garlic or use garlic powder
For the Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger or 1 tablespoon of fresh grated ginger
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add 1 pound of diced boneless, skinless chicken breast to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Stir in 3 cloves of minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add 4 cups of shredded cabbage, 1 cup of grated carrots, and 3 chopped green onions. Cook for 3-5 minutes until the cabbage is tender yet crisp.
  4. Pour in 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and 1 teaspoon of ground ginger. Stir thoroughly and cook for another 1-2 minutes to meld the flavors.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning with extra salt and pepper if necessary.
  6. Serve hot in bowls, garnished with sesame seeds, fresh cilantro, and a drizzle of Sriracha if desired.
