Ingredients

Brownie Ingredients
  • 1 box Ghirardelli Double Chocolate Brownie Mix Provides rich chocolate flavor; use any favorite brand for similar results.
  • 2 large Eggs Adds moisture and structure; follow package instructions for count based on the brownie mix.
  • 1/2 cup Oil Ensures moisture and richness in the brownie texture; refer to the package for the right amount.
  • 1 cup Reese’s Peanut Butter Chips Introduces intense peanut butter flavor and sweetness; can substitute with milk chocolate chips for a milder flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips Used for decorative drizzling; dark chocolate can add a richer taste.
Frosting Ingredients
  • 1 batch Peanut Butter Buttercream Frosting Essential topping that enhances flavor and provides a creamy texture.

Equipment

  • Oven
  • Mixing Bowl
  • spatula
  • Baking Pan
  • Microwave

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the Ghirardelli Double Chocolate Brownie Mix, eggs, and oil as indicated on the package. Stir in the Reese’s Peanut Butter Chips until evenly distributed.
  2. Grease a 13" x 9" baking pan generously with cooking spray or butter. Pour the prepared brownie batter into the pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula. Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs attached.
  3. Allow the brownie bars to cool in the pan for at least 20 minutes.
  4. Prepare the Peanut Butter Buttercream Frosting by combining softened butter, creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, and a splash of milk. Beat until light and fluffy, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Once the brownies have cooled, generously spread a thick layer of the frosting over the top.
  6. For an optional chocolate drizzle, melt semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bag, drizzle over the frosted brownies, and allow to set before slicing.
