Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. Prepare the brownie batter according to the package instructions. Pour the batter into the springform pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. Let cool completely.
  3. Lower the oven temperature to 325°F (160°C). Beat the cream cheese until smooth, then gradually add sugar and vanilla, mixing until free of lumps.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Mix in sour cream and heavy cream until smooth.
  5. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the cooled brownie base, spreading it evenly.
  6. Drizzle caramel sauce over the cheesecake layer and gently swirl with a knife.
  7. Place the springform pan on a baking sheet and bake for 45-50 minutes. Let cool in the oven for 1 hour.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Remove from the springform pan, drizzle additional caramel on top, and finish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
