Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9x5 inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, blend together the mashed ripe bananas with the melted butter until smooth.
  3. Stir in the granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Sprinkle in the baking soda and salt, then gently fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined.
  5. In another bowl, beat together the cream cheese, sugar, egg, and a bit of flour until smooth and creamy.
  6. Mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl.
  7. Pour half of the banana batter into the prepared loaf pan, then dollop half of the cream cheese mixture and sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
  8. Repeat with the remaining banana batter, cream cheese mixture, and cinnamon-sugar.
  9. Gently swirl through the layers with a knife for a marbling effect.
  10. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
