For the Puff Pastry Tree
  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry Gluten-free option available
  • 8 oz Brie Cheese Camembert can be used as an alternative
For the Filling
  • 1 cup Cranberry Sauce Fig jam or apricot preserves can be used for variation
  • 1/2 cup Pistachios Almonds or walnuts can be used instead

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the puff pastry sheet to about 1/8-inch thickness. Cut out a Christmas tree shape and place it onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Place the Brie cheese square in the center of the Christmas tree shape.
  4. Spread cranberry sauce over the top of the Brie, allowing some to spill over the edges.
  5. Sprinkle the chopped pistachios over the cranberry sauce, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
  6. Fold the branches of the puff pastry over the filling, pinching the edges together to seal.
  7. Whisk an egg and brush it generously over the entire surface of the pastry.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed up and golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Serve warm alongside crackers or baguette slices.
