  • 1 can Cream of Chicken Soup or low-sodium options for a healthier twist
  • 1 can French Onion Soup for rich onion flavor
  • 1 cup Sour Cream or dairy-free yogurt
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese (Mozzarella or Swiss) use mozzarella for mildness or Swiss for nuttiness
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper
  • 1.5 cups French Fried Onions divide for mixing and topping
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped Parsley for garnish

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked white rice, shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, French onion soup, and sour cream. Stir in the shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and 1 cup of French fried onions. Mix gently until blended.
  3. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter and evenly spread the rice and chicken mixture into the dish.
  4. Place in the oven and bake uncovered for about 30 minutes until edges are bubbling and the center is hot.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of French fried onions on top and bake for an additional 5 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool for about 5 minutes and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
