Method
 

Steps
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups of milk and 1 cup of heavy cream over medium heat. Stir gently and warm for about 5 minutes.
  2. Slowly whisk in 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder until fully dissolved, then continue whisking for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add in 0.5 cup each of dark and white chocolate chips, stirring gently over medium-low heat until melted and glossy for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 0.5 teaspoon of peppermint extract.
  5. Pour into festive mugs, top with whipped cream and sprinkle with festive toppings.
