Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by peeling, coring, and finely dicing 2 medium apples into ¼ to ½ inch cubes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, ¼ cup of granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, ¼ teaspoon of ground nutmeg, and ¼ teaspoon of salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together 2 eggs, ½ cup of milk, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually combine the wet ingredients into the dry mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  5. Carefully fold the diced apples into the batter until they’re evenly distributed.
  6. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5-7 minutes.
  7. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil or line it with perforated parchment paper.
  8. Drop generous spoonfuls (2-3 tbsp) of batter into the air fryer basket, leaving space between fritters.
  9. Air fry the fritters at 350°F for about 8-10 minutes, checking towards the end for golden brown color.
  10. At the 8-minute mark, flip each fritter to ensure even cooking, then air fry for an additional 5-7 minutes.
  11. Remove the fritters from the air fryer and place them on a wire rack to cool slightly; dust with powdered sugar.
  12. Serve warm and enjoy!
